Welcome Prospective and Current Members!

Thank you for your interest and continued support. The strength of the cooperative depends of the strength of its membership. Be a CHAMPION in supporting the local food economy of Central and Southern Indiana!

The Local Growers Guild (LGG) connects, supports and educates local growers businesses, consumers and communities in Southern Indiana. We currently have four categories of membership - producer members, community members, retailer members and supporters/sponsors.

New members can apply by downloading and mailing in our membership brochure

Renewing members can renew by downloading and mailing in our renewal form.

Feel free to contact Kim at director@localgrowers.org if you would like printed copies of the brochure to distribute.

Grower & producer members are local producers of fresh and value-added food, flowers, or fiber. They range from small urban homesteads to large farm operations. They are committed to producing quality products and supporting other producers. Grower & producer members benefit from promotional support as well as attendance at technical workshops, educational and social events hosted by LGG. Additionally, they connect and network with other growers & producers as well as the consumer community.

Retailer members are restaurants, food co-ops, grocery stores, and other businesses interested in preparing or selling locally grown and produced food, flowers, and fibers. Retail members benefit from promotional support for their business as well as attendance at technical workshops, educational and social events hosted by LGG. Additionally, they connect with growers and community members invested in supporting the local food economy. The LGG logo, publicity, and credibility will help retailers attract customers.

Community members are committed citizens of our regional communities invested in growing and/or purchasing food that supports our local producers, economy, and environment. Community members benefit from the outreach and education of food issues as well as where, how, and why to buy locally. They receive opportunities to actively participate in the network of leaders and key players within the local food movement.

Supporters and Sponsors are individuals and businesses interested in supporting the Local Growers Guild but are not directly invovled with the distribution of locally grown food.  As a supporter or sponsor of the Local Growers Guild, you will receive special acknowledgement in the Local Growers Guide, on the Local Growers Guild website, in our newsletter, "Locally Grown News," and at events such as the Winter Guild Gathering and the Harvest Dinner.  Supporter membership is $500 and sponsor membership is $1000.
